We calculate each person’s dose based on their age and weight. Fluoride is then applied to teeth using a brush, gel, or tiny cups placed over teeth and left for a specific amount of time. Patients should avoid eating and drinking for about half an hour after the procedure. This is required to give teeth enough time to absorb the fluoride.
